Location

Located on The Bone Wastes in Terokkar Forest lays the Shadow Tomb, home to Cabal Burning Legion mobs.

Mobs

  • Cabal Tomb-Raider — melee variant. Standard attack pattern, medium HP pool. Straightforward to handle solo.
  • Cabal Skirmisher — dual wield melee variant. Attacks fast and hits frequently — the most dangerous mob on this spot through sustained damage output rather than any single big hit. Prioritise these when pulling multiple mobs to avoid being overwhelmed.
  • Cabal Abjurist — caster variant. Casts Arcane Missiles which deal significant damage despite the Abjurist having the lowest HP of the three. Interrupt immediately and burn these down first — they are the priority target on every pull.

Mob characteristics: humanoid Burning Legion type, tight indoor spacing means accidental multi-pulls are a real risk. Controlled single or double pulls are strongly recommended, especially for undergeared characters.

Estimated XP per Hour

  • Estimated XP/hour: ≈90,000
  • No rested XP, AoE pulls, or group modifiers included
  • High respawn rate inside the tomb sustains a consistent pull pace

XP/hour is strong for the level range. The indoor layout concentrates mobs efficiently but requires disciplined pulling to maintain uptime without dying to overlapping pulls.

Estimated Gold per Hour

Gold income at Shadow Tomb comes primarily from:

  • Marks of Kil’jaeden — consistent drop from Burning Legion mobs, turn in for Aldor reputation or sell on AH
  • Fel Armaments — rare but high value drop, strong AH price or significant Aldor reputation gain per turn in
  • Netherweave Cloth — consistent humanoid drop
  • Raw silver and coin drops
  • Green item drops — 2 greens recorded in verified session

Estimated gold/hour: ≈124g. Marks of Kil’jaeden and the occasional Fel Armament drive the upper end of this estimate. Check AH prices before the session — on most servers selling Fel Armaments outperforms turning them in for reputation unless you are actively pushing Aldor progress.

Grinding Tips

  • Prioritise Cabal Abjurist — interrupt Arcane Missiles immediately on every pull
  • Kill Cabal Skirmisher early in multi-mob pulls to reduce sustained damage intake
  • The tight indoor layout makes it easy to accidentally pull extra mobs — move carefully between pulls
  • High respawn rate rewards staying in a defined loop rather than clearing and waiting
  • Low competition makes this one of the more reliable spots to have to yourself in Terokkar Forest

Verdict

Shadow Tomb delivers around 90,000 XP/hour and approximately 124g/hour, making it one of the stronger dual-purpose spots in Terokkar Forest. Marks of Kil’jaeden and Fel Armament drops give it an edge for Aldor players specifically, combining leveling progress with meaningful reputation income. The indoor layout rewards disciplined pulling — respect the tight spaces and this spot consistently overdelivers.
