Most reputation guides assume you are grinding at max level with optimised gear and dedicated farming sessions. This reputation farming page takes a different approach. Every reputation listed here can be built naturally while leveling through Outland, using mobs you will encounter anyway. This page covers verified spots across all seven Outland zones.
The items that drive these reputations also serve a second purpose — they are tradeable and sellable on the Auction House. Every session is a choice between reputation progress and gold income. That flexibility makes reputation grinding one of the most efficient uses of leveling time in TBC Classic.
Grindable Reputations While Leveling
Aldor or Scryer — Which Should You Choose?
Aldor and Scryer are the two main factions in Shattrath City and the only mutually exclusive reputation choice in TBC. Picking one locks you out of the other permanently on that character.
The most meaningful difference for most players comes down to shoulder enchants at exalted:
- Aldor — Greater Inscription of Vengeance, offering Attack Power and Critical Strike. Favors physical damage dealers.
- Scryer — Greater Inscription of the Blade, offering Critical Strike and a smaller Attack Power bonus. Also favors physical dealers but slightly weaker for pure melee.
For casters the gap reverses — Scryer offers stronger spellpower shoulder enchants. Check which enchant suits your class and spec before committing. The choice affects which reputation items you farm and which spots are relevant to you throughout the expansion.
Aldor
The Aldor are based in Shattrath and aligned with the Draenei. Reputation is built through two grindable item types dropped by Burning Legion mobs throughout Outland.
Marks of Kil’jaeden drop from lower level Burning Legion mobs and grant small reputation amounts per turn in. Fel Armaments drop less frequently but grant significantly more reputation and carry high Auction House value. Both items are farmable from level 60 onward in Hellfire Peninsula and remain relevant through the entire leveling path wherever Burning Legion mobs appear.

Scryer
The Scryers are a faction of blood elves based in Shattrath. Reputation is built through items dropped by blood elf mobs across Outland.
Sunfury Signets drop from blood elf mobs and are the primary Scryer reputation currency while leveling. Firewing Signets serve the same purpose from Terokkar Forest mobs specifically. Arcane Tomes are the rare high-value equivalent of Fel Armaments — lower drop rate, higher reputation gain, and strong Auction House value. Blood elf mobs are concentrated in Terokkar Forest and Netherstorm, making those zones the natural home for Scryer farming.

Cenarion Expedition
The Cenarion Expedition is the druid and nature faction of Outland, based in Zangarmarsh. Reputation is built through Coilfang Armaments dropped by Naga mobs in Zangarmarsh and from dungeon runs in Coilfang Reservoir.
Coilfang Armaments are tradeable and sellable, giving the same dual-purpose flexibility as Aldor and Scryer items. Naga mobs in Zangarmarsh drop them consistently while leveling through the zone, making Cenarion Expedition one of the most accessible reputations to build passively while progressing.
Key rewards include the Cenarion War Hippogryph mount at exalted — one of the most iconic and sought after mounts in TBC Classic.
→ Deadmire – Zangarmarsh – 🟢 Verified
Sporeggar
Sporeggar is a small faction of Sporelings native to Zangarmarsh. Reputation is built through Bog Lord Tendrils dropped by Bog Lords and Mature Spore Sacs from various Zangarmarsh mobs.
Sporeggar is a lower priority reputation for most players but sits naturally within Zangarmarsh leveling content. The items drop alongside normal grinding without requiring dedicated sessions. Key rewards include Tiny Spore Bat companion pet and access to Sanguine Hibiscus turn ins from Underbog dungeon runs.

Lower City
Lower City is a faction based in Shattrath City, representing the refugees and outcasts living in the city’s lower district. Reputation is built through Arakkoa Feather drops from Arakkoa mobs found in Terokkar Forest, alongside dungeon runs in Auchindoun.
Arakkoa Feathers drop consistently from Arakkoa mobs while leveling naturally through Terokkar Forest, making Lower City one of the most accessible reputations to build passively during normal progression. Like other grindable reputation items, Arakkoa Feathers are tradeable and sellable on the Auction House — giving you the same choice between reputation progress and immediate gold income on every session.
Key rewards include access to profession recipes, gear, and the Lower City Prayerbook — a useful healing trinket for hybrid specs.

→ Veil Shalas – Terokkar Forest – 🟢 Verified
Kurenai / Mag’har
Kurenai is the Alliance faction and Mag’har the Horde equivalent, both based in Nagrand. Reputation is built through Obsidian Warbeads dropped by Ogre mobs throughout Nagrand.
Nagrand Ogre camps are among the densest grinding locations in all of Outland, and Obsidian Warbeads drop at a high rate. This makes Kurenai and Mag’har one of the fastest reputations to build while leveling, particularly during the natural Nagrand leveling window at 64-67. Warbeads are also tradeable and sell consistently on the Auction House.
Key rewards include Talbuk mounts at exalted — some of the most desirable ground mounts in TBC Classic.
→ Burning Blade Ruins – Nagrand – 🟢 Verified
The Consortium
The Consortium are a faction of Ethereals operating across Outland, with a strong presence in Netherstorm. Reputation is built through Ethereum Prison Keys dropped by Ethereum Jailors and Ethereum Thieves while leveling through Netherstorm at 67-68.
Opening Ethereum Prisons with collected keys grants Consortium reputation and occasionally releases hostile mobs carrying valuable loot. The Consortium rewards a monthly Oshu’gun Diamond Powder bag at honored and a gem bag at higher reputation tiers, providing consistent passive gold income after reaching the relevant thresholds.

Reputation or Gold — How to Decide
Every item on this page is tradeable. Before each session, check your server’s Auction House prices for the relevant items. If prices are high, selling delivers immediate gold. If prices are low or you need the reputation progress, turning items in is the better play.
This flexibility means reputation farming while leveling is never wasted time. Even if you do not need a specific reputation, the items retain value throughout the expansion as latecomers and alts farm the same content later.
