Razaan’s Landing Mob Grinding – XP/Hour & Gold/Hour | TBC Classic

Razaan’s Landing is a solo mob grinding location in the eastern part of Blade’s Edge Mountains, home to Razaani Ethereal mobs with low armor and consistent loot. It is the most distinct mob type available for grinding in the zone — completely different to the ogre and demon options elsewhere in Blade’s Edge — and sits naturally on the leveling path for players progressing through the zone at 67-68.

All data on this page is estimated based on mob characteristics, drop rates, and zone data. This spot has not yet been personally verified through a recorded session. Figures will be updated with verified data once tested.

About This Location

The Razaani are a group of Ethereals operating at Razaan’s Landing in Blade’s Edge Mountains, led by Nexus-Prince Razaan. The camp sits on the eastern side of the zone and is ground-accessible via the road from Evergrove. The compact camp layout with defined patrol routes supports efficient circular routing with consistent pull availability.

Ethereal mob type means low armor compared to ogres or demons — kill speed is faster at equivalent gear levels making this one of the more efficient XP spots in Blade’s Edge Mountains for melee classes in particular. The camp sees low competition outside of quest traffic, making it a reliable grinding destination during the natural leveling window through the zone.

One note on the Nexus-Prince: Nexus-Prince Razaan himself is a named rare-quality mob that spawns in the center of the camp once enough Razaani have been killed. He is soloable but hits significantly harder than standard camp mobs. Skip him during sustained grinding sessions to avoid unnecessary downtime.

Mobs

  • Razaani Spell-Thief — primary caster mob at the camp. Ethereal humanoid, level 67-68. Casts Energy Surge — inflicting Arcane damage for 5 seconds. Interrupt Energy Surge immediately to reduce incoming damage and improve kill speed. Low armor makes these fast kills despite the caster mechanic.
  • Razaani Raider — melee variant at the camp. Straightforward attack pattern with no dangerous abilities. Low armor consistent with Ethereal mob type — faster to kill than ogre or demon melee mobs at equivalent level.

Mob characteristics: Ethereal humanoid type, level 67-68, low armor across all variants. Caster mobs are the interrupt priority. No dangerous crowd control abilities. Predictable patrol patterns throughout the camp.

Verified XP per Hour

  • Estimated XP/hour: 85,000 – 95,000
  • Based on approximately 535 XP per mob at level 67-68
  • Realistic solo kill rate: approximately 2.5-3 mobs per minute due to low armor
  • No rested XP, AoE pulls, or group modifiers included

XP/hour sits at the higher end for Blade’s Edge Mountains due to the low armor Ethereal mob type improving kill speed compared to the ogre and demon alternatives in the zone. Melee-focused specs benefit particularly from the low armor which reduces time per kill meaningfully across a full session.

Verified Gold per Hour

Gold income at Razaan’s Landing comes from:

  • Netherweave Cloth — consistent Ethereal humanoid drop throughout the session
  • Raw silver and coin drops — steady per kill
  • Vendor trash — reliable baseline income
  • Occasional green item drops

Verified gold/hour: around 65g. No high-value reputation item drives the gold estimate here — income comes from consistent humanoid loot. Netherweave Cloth is the standout drop as Ethereal mobs drop it reliably and AH demand for Cloth stays steady throughout the expansion.

Consortium Reputation — Conditional

Razaani mobs are Ethereal type and can drop Ethereum Prison Keys once you have completed the Ethereum Prison questline at the Protectorate Watchpost in Netherstorm and reached Honored standing with the Consortium. This is a post-questline bonus rather than a natural leveling reputation grind — most players encountering this spot while leveling through Blade’s Edge will not yet have access to this mechanic.

If you have completed the prerequisite questline, Ethereum Prison Keys from this camp contribute to Consortium reputation through the prison-opening system in Netherstorm. Check the Reputation Farming page for full Consortium reputation details.

Grinding Tips

  • Interrupt Razaani Spell-Thief Energy Surge casts immediately on every pull
  • Burn casters down first on multi-mob pulls to reduce incoming Arcane damage
  • You can engage Nexus-Prince Razaan during sustained grinding sessions — but don’t expect any additional loot
  • Run a circular route through the camp following patrol patterns for consistent pull availability
  • Low competition makes this a reliably uncontested spot — one of the quieter locations in Blade’s Edge Mountains

Verdict

Razaan’s Landing delivers an estimated 85,000 – 95,000 XP/hour and 70 – 90g/hour, making it the strongest pure XP grinding option in Blade’s Edge Mountains for players who have already covered Forge Camp: Anger and Skald. The low armor Ethereal mob type gives melee specs a meaningful speed advantage over other zone options, and consistent Netherweave Cloth drops provide reliable gold income throughout. A natural choice for players finishing the final push toward level 68 before moving into Netherstorm or Shadowmoon Valley.
